Located at 84A Nguyen Thanh Binh, Van Phuc Ward, Ha Dong District, Hanoi, the Japanese International School has a total area of ​​1.6 hectares, including 3 modern subdivisions: Kindergarten – Primary, Secondary and Physical Education.

The four-season salt water swimming pool at JIS applies salt electrolysis technology, a modern water treatment system is a swimming place for students from preschool and above to help exercise, improve physique and prevent drowning. JIS students love swimming lessons with their teachers because they can splash around and play in the cool water. With the advantage of having a four-season saltwater swimming pool, JIS can learn to swim. This is one of the outstanding and different features of JIS in preschool education in Hanoi in particular and in the whole country in general.

At JIS, children from preschool age have learned to swim in a four-season saltwater swimming pool to develop their physical strength and prevent drowning.

With the motto of all for the health of students and having a practical learning space, the Japanese International School (JIS) has invested in building a clean vegetable garden across the sky and a large organic farm with the determination to ensure the supply of clean and safe food in daily meals for students, teachers and staff of the school.

The vegetable garden across the sky, over 2000m2 wide on the rooftop of the Kindergarten – Primary School building, grows many types of vegetables, tubers and fruits such as: cabbage, spinach, amaranth, Malabar spinach, jute, kohlrabi, lettuce, chayote, squash, pumpkin, tomatoes, herbs… Each season has its own food, JIS teachers and students always have clean vegetables in their daily meals.

The organic farm of over 2ha in Thanh Cao commune, Thanh Oai district, Hanoi raises livestock, poultry, aquatic products and grows some fruit trees to provide a source of clean food for the school and is a place for students to study and experience in real life.

The 12-storey dormitory was built by JIS to be spacious and clean to serve as a place for foreign teachers and staff to eat and stay, so that everyone can confidently contribute to the common development goals of the school. This project is one of the highlights of the JIS campus, helping to complete the school’s infrastructure and facilities into a closed chain, making the school a unique, rare, high-class international educational institution in Vietnam.

Perhaps JIS is the only school in Vietnam with a rooftop vegetable garden to provide clean vegetables for the entire school’s meals.

JIS invests in modern laboratories for the subjects: Chemistry, Physics, and Biology.

JIS students from grade 1 have been studying Piano with the goal of knowing how to play basic piano proficiently by grade 3. JIS teachers believe that this useful subject will help nurture children’s souls better and better.

JIS library with more than 10,000 books is one of the favorite study places for students. From grade 1 and up, students have reading periods to practice reading habits and look up data to carry out learning projects.
