To achieve the above goals:

• The Preschool Education Program at JIS does not set specific criteria or numbers to require children to achieve, but focuses more on developing children’s physical and spiritual health and living habits. In addition, teachers help children develop the necessary skills and cognitive abilities so that they can confidently move on to higher levels of education.

• Children learn many topics such as: Body culture, greetings, family, colors, seasons, animals, plants, transportation, careers, the universe, the environment, Vietnamese culture and some countries… These contents are integrated into subjects: Visual arts, crafts, fine arts, music, mathematics, language development, exploring the living environment, rhythmic movement, physical development… In addition, teachers practice discipline such as: Eating, folding clothes, putting away shoes, greetings, personal hygiene… but do not lose the innocence of children.

• Preschool is the golden stage of forming good habits, which is the foundation for developing children’s personality later. Therefore, learning and experiential activities at JIS are designed to be diverse to help children participate enthusiastically, while developing in terms of social awareness, emotions and physicality.

JIS preschool children are trained in eating habits, hygiene… from the moment they enter school, so they are very self-conscious, independent, and responsible for the group. In the photo, 5-year-old Hoshi is in charge of getting food for her classmates.
