Japan International Program
The image of JIS students clasping their hands to say thank you before and after their daily meals in the standard Japanese school meal style has left a strong impression on many people visiting JIS.
Some highlights of the Japan International Primary Program (JIP)
• Enjoying Japan’s advanced curriculum, students are taught by Japanese teachers with the support of Vietnamese teachers. Japanese homeroom teachers teach and train students in ethics, discipline, manners and behavior.
• The viewpoints and approaches in the Japanese curriculum are very clear, concise and easy to understand. Each teaching content is repeated through many grades, the higher the grade, the deeper the knowledge, thereby helping students grasp knowledge systematically. For example, the Math curriculum is repeated in concentric circles and deepened with each grade with the view of helping students to increase their logical thinking to develop their intelligence, not simply teaching how to find the fastest results mechanically. Japanese Science subjects are deeper in nature, guiding students to explore, draw their own conclusions and create the habit of self-study from grade 3. From grade 5, there is additional content on Chemistry.
• Students study Vietnamese/Literature, History, Geography according to textbooks of the Vietnamese Ministry of Education and Training and English according to international standards.

• At high school level, students can choose one of two options:
– Option 1: Continue studying at JIS to obtain a high school graduation certificate in Vietnam. After that, students will be introduced to universities in Japan that are affiliated with JIS with many incentives for foreign students. From grade 10, the school focuses on students studying in the Social or Natural Sciences majors, preparing for the EJU exam to obtain scholarships from high-ranking schools in Japan.
– Option 2: Transfer to schools affiliated with JIS in Japan from grades 10, 11 or 12 and take the graduation exam.
